United States, January 2026 — Jenny Chan has been appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Mercury Insurance. In her new role, she will oversee the company’s HR strategy and operations, with a strong focus on building a people- and culture-led organisation that enables business growth and strengthens Mercury’s ability to compete effectively for top talent. Her mandate will also support Mercury’s expansion across the states in which it operates, while reinforcing its long-standing commitment to the residents of California.
As CHRO, Jenny will align talent strategy with business priorities to strengthen leadership capability, foster a high-performance and purpose-driven culture, and enable scalable growth. Her appointment reflects Mercury Insurance’s continued investment in people leadership as a key driver of sustainable performance and organisational resilience.
Prior to joining Mercury Insurance, Jenny served as Chief People Officer at Arctera, where she led the talent and leadership transformation of a Veritas company spin-out. Her work focused on accelerating innovation, enabling scalable growth, and strengthening organisational capability, culminating in a successful exit and acquisition.
Earlier, Jenny spent nearly three decades at Accenture, holding several senior leadership roles. Most recently, she was Global HR Transformation Change Management Lead / Managing Director, driving large-scale, integrated HR transformation initiatives spanning technology, cost optimisation, and enterprise change. She also served as Global Head of Health and Well-being, where she led the development of an award-winning global wellbeing strategy, and previously as Chief Human Resources Officer / Managing Director for Accenture’s West division, supporting a multi-billion-dollar business with more than 12,000 employees.
Across her career, Jenny has built deep expertise in HR transformation, organisational design, leadership development, wellbeing, and change management, positioning her well to guide Mercury Insurance’s people and culture agenda through its next phase of growth.
