Geena Malhotra Appointed Chief Technology Officer at Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd

Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, February 2026 — Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd has announced the appointment of Geena Malhotra as Chief Technology Officer, effective February 1, 2026, further strengthening the company’s leadership focus on technology, innovation, and digital transformation.

In her new role, Geena Malhotra will lead Torrent Pharma’s technology and innovation agenda across research and development, manufacturing, supply chain, and sustainability. She will work closely with the senior leadership team to accelerate digital transformation initiatives, enhance operational excellence, and support product innovation as Torrent continues to strengthen its domestic and global presence.

With nearly four decades of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Geena Malhotra brings deep global expertise across integrated product development, manufacturing operations, and technology leadership. Prior to joining Torrent Pharmaceuticals, she most recently served as Managing Director at Signet Excipients Pvt. Ltd., where she led the organisation through a phase of strategic and operational growth.

Before Signet Excipients, she spent over 30 years at Cipla, holding multiple senior leadership positions. Her roles at Cipla included Global Chief Technology Officer, Head of Manufacturing Operations, and Global Head of Integrated Product Development, where she played a pivotal role in strengthening global R&D capabilities, manufacturing excellence, and technology-driven transformation initiatives across the organisation.

A recognised industry leader, Geena Malhotra holds approximately 50 international patents and has received several awards for her contributions to pharmaceutical innovation, technology advancement, and sustainable manufacturing practices.

Her appointment reflects Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd’s continued commitment to investing in experienced global leaders who can drive innovation-led growth and strengthen the company’s technology backbone in an increasingly competitive and regulated pharmaceutical landscape.
