Dubai, United Arab Emirates, February 2026 — Mohammed Al Sahlawi has started a new position as Chief Financial Officer at Emaar Malls & Entertainment, where he will oversee the organization’s financial strategy, planning, and performance to support sustained growth and operational excellence. His appointment marks a significant step in strengthening the company’s financial leadership as it continues to expand its retail and entertainment portfolio.
Prior to this appointment, Mohammed served as Head of Finance and Senior Finance Manager at Emaar Malls & Entertainment, where he facilitated strategic financial planning and commercial leasing management. In these roles, he advised senior leadership on financial and leasing strategies, directed leasing negotiations to optimize tenant mix and revenue potential, established financial controls aligned with regulatory standards, and built strong stakeholder partnerships to enhance operational efficiency.
Before joining Emaar Malls & Entertainment, Mohammed Al Sahlawi spent over a decade at du, where he held multiple finance leadership roles, including Revenue Accounting Manager, Treasury Senior Analyst, and Revenue Assurance Specialist. During this period, he led revenue recognition processes, strengthened treasury and cash management frameworks, implemented FX hedging strategies, and enhanced financial reporting systems to support strategic decision-making.
Alongside his corporate career, he is the Co-Founder of Flat Twelve Cafe LLC, where he drives business growth through operations leadership, marketing strategy, and partnership development. He also served as a Board Member at the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA), contributing to governance and standards initiatives in the United Arab Emirates.
Mohammed holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Canadian University Dubai, strengthening his expertise in financial management and strategic leadership.
