Kitee, Finland, March 2026 — Aisti has appointed Kirsi Kautonen as Human Resources Director, where she will lead the company’s people strategy as it scales its operations and prepares for the launch of its first acoustic tile manufacturing facility.
In her new role, Kautonen will focus on strengthening organizational culture, advancing talent development initiatives, and supporting the company’s growth strategy as it expands its sustainable manufacturing capabilities.
Prior to joining Aisti, Kautonen served as Human Resources Director at Norelco Oy, where she played a key role in driving business growth and operational performance through strategic HR leadership. She led multicultural teams, implemented internal communication and engagement strategies, and coached leaders to align people initiatives with business objectives. Her work also included leading change management and organizational development programs to support scalable and sustainable growth.
Earlier, she served as Director – Technology and Forest at Ammattiopisto Samiedu, where she led a team of more than 50 experts and oversaw strategic operations within vocational education programs. In this role, she developed operational frameworks linking education, industry needs, and stakeholder collaboration while driving organizational transformation and process improvement initiatives.
Before transitioning into broader leadership roles, Kautonen worked with Metsä Wood as Production Manager, where she oversaw operations at the Punkaharju plywood mills, managing production efficiency, safety programs, and workforce performance across a team of around 200 employees.
Earlier in her career, she served as HR Manager at Metsä Group, where she managed HR functions across multiple manufacturing units and played a key role in personnel planning, recruitment, performance development, and leadership coaching across a workforce of several hundred employees.
She began her professional journey with roles including Training Manager at AEL and Production Engineer at UPM-Kymmene, gaining early experience in industrial operations, workforce development, and organizational training initiatives.
With more than two decades of leadership experience across HR, operations, and industrial environments, Kirsi Kautonen brings strong expertise in people management, organizational development, and building high-performing, inclusive workplace cultures.
