London, United Kingdom, March 2026 — Providence Equity Partners has appointed Melissa Marshall as Vice President, Human Capital Management & Operations. Based in London, Marshall will support the firm’s human capital and operational priorities, bringing experience across people operations and European HR leadership within the private equity ecosystem.
Before joining Providence Equity Partners, Melissa Marshall served at Hellman & Friedman as Manager, People Operations (September 2023 to January 2026) in London, where she supported people operations in a private equity environment.
Prior to that, she spent over nine years with M3 Capital Partners LLC (acquired by GLP, then Ares Management), including as European Operations & HR Manager (July 2014 to September 2023). Her tenure included multiple positions before 2019, spanning operations and HR responsibilities supporting the firm’s European footprint.
Marshall’s earlier experience also includes internships with Clifford Chance as a Climate Change Legislation Intern and Herbert Smith Freehills as a Financial Services Regulatory Intern (both December 2021 to January 2022). She additionally served as an HR Masters Student Representative at the University of Greenwich (September 2020 to October 2021) and provided Human Resources (Ad Hoc support) to urbanest UK on a freelance basis (January 2021 to June 2021). Earlier in her career, she worked at LA Fitness as Marketing Outreach Coordinator (May 2012 to September 2012).
