Kampala, Uganda — Uganda National Oil Company Limited (UNOC) is proud to announce the appointment of Tony Otoa to the role of Chief Corporate Affairs Officer. With an extensive background in public relations, event management, and strategic planning, Otoa is poised to enhance UNOC’s communication strategies and corporate affairs.
Prior to joining UNOC, Tony Otoa held significant roles within Uganda’s oil and gas sector, including his most recent position as Chief Executive at Stanbic Business Incubator Ltd. There, he led initiatives that bolstered enterprise development from June 2020 to April 2024, cultivating an ecosystem supportive of local businesses. Before that, he was the Head of Enterprise Development at Stanbic Bank, where he served from June 2018 to May 2020, focusing on integrating local enterprises into the national economy.
Otoa also contributed his expertise as an Advisor on Oil and Gas for the Uganda Chamber of Mines and Petroleum between June 2017 and July 2019, playing a pivotal role in shaping policies and strategies that enhance local content in the industry. His earlier experiences include influential positions at Great Lakes Public Affairs and Total E&P Uganda, where he led public affairs and coordinated national content strategies.
