Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, March 2026 – Birlasoft has announced that Arun Rao will assume the role of Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective April 1, 2026. In this role, he will lead the company’s global HR strategy, focusing on talent development, organizational transformation, and building a high-performance culture to support the organization’s continued growth and innovation.
Currently, Arun Rao serves as Group Head – Leadership Development at CKA Birla Group, where he is responsible for strengthening leadership capability and driving strategic talent initiatives across the group. His work focuses on building future-ready leadership pipelines and enabling enterprise-wide transformation.
Prior to this, he served as Chief People Officer at Birlasoft, where he played a key role in shaping the company’s people strategy, driving organizational effectiveness, and strengthening talent and culture frameworks during a critical phase of business evolution.
Earlier, Arun held senior leadership roles at DXC Technology and CSC (Computer Sciences Corporation) as Head of Human Resources, India, where he led HR strategy for large-scale technology organizations, focusing on workforce transformation, talent management, and operational alignment.
He also served as Vice President – Talent at Deloitte Consulting India Pvt Ltd, where he led talent initiatives and workforce strategies for consulting businesses, and held leadership roles at Applabs and Intelligroup Asia Pvt Ltd as Vice President – HR, contributing to organizational growth and talent development.
Arun began his career at Satyam Computers, where he served as General Manager – HR, and earlier at Mascon Global Limited and Steel Authority of India Limited, where he developed a strong foundation in human resources, industrial relations, and organizational development over nearly a decade.
He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from XLRI Jamshedpur, one of India’s premier institutions for HR education.
