New York, United States, April 2026 — Anshul Sheopur has been appointed as VP, Global HR Operations & AI Innovation at Google, marking a significant leadership move at the intersection of HR transformation, AI, and global people operations.
In this role, Anshul Sheopur will lead global HR operations while driving AI-led innovation across people processes, further strengthening Google’s ability to scale intelligent, data-driven workforce strategies.
Prior to joining Google, he served as Executive Vice President, People Operations & Insights at Mastercard, where he led enterprise-wide people analytics and insights initiatives, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. During his tenure, he also held roles as Senior Vice President, People Operations and Insights and Senior Vice President, People Analytics and Insights, building strong capabilities in workforce intelligence and HR transformation.
Earlier, he spent over 16 years at IBM, where he held leadership roles including Vice President, Data and AI / People Analytics & CTO, HR (Distinguished Engineer). At IBM, he led large-scale people analytics and AI initiatives, working at the convergence of data science, HR, and enterprise transformation, while building advanced cognitive and analytics-driven HR solutions.
Anshul Sheopur holds a PhD in Operations Management from NYU Stern School of Business, reflecting his strong academic and research foundation in analytics, decision sciences, and operational strategy.
With deep expertise across AI, analytics, and HR transformation, his appointment signals the increasing convergence of technology and human capital strategy at the highest levels of global organizations.
