Leeds, United Kingdom, April 2026 — Charmaine Day has started a new position as Chief Financial Officer at Alan Wood & Partners, bringing extensive financial leadership experience across construction, medical technology, and private equity-backed businesses.
In her new role, Charmaine Day will lead the firm’s financial strategy, governance, and operational performance, supporting continued growth across its engineering and infrastructure projects.
Prior to joining Alan Wood & Partners, she served as Chief Financial Officer at TaperedPlus, a PE-backed distribution business in the construction sector, where she drove financial planning and business performance initiatives. Earlier, she held the role of Chief Financial Officer at Surgical Innovations Group PLC, an AIM-listed organization, where she led financial transformation, investor engagement, and strategic initiatives.
During her long tenure at Surgical Innovations, she also served as Company Secretary, Finance Director, and Financial Controller, building deep expertise across financial operations, governance, and corporate strategy. She began her career with roles at MSC Partners Ltd, Ellis Fairbank, and Eville & Jones, establishing a strong foundation in finance and accounting.
