Vernon Hills, Illinois, United States, April 2026 — CDW has appointed Hang Tan as Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer, bringing extensive leadership experience across technology strategy, hybrid cloud, business transformation, pricing, partnerships, and corporate growth. In this role, Hang will support CDW’s strategic direction and transformation priorities as the company continues helping customers navigate complex technology environments.
Before joining CDW, Hang held senior leadership roles at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, including Chief Operating Officer, HPE Hybrid Cloud, where he led business unit strategy and planning, product portfolio and lifecycle management, services, pricing strategy, sales velocity, business development, and strategic partnerships.
Earlier at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Hang served as Chief Strategy Officer, leading corporate and business unit strategy, venture capital initiatives through HPE Pathfinder, corporate FP&A, long-term planning, performance management, cost transformation, and growth initiatives.
Prior to HPE, Hang spent over a decade at Bain & Company, where he was a Partner in the firm’s Technology practice, advising clients on corporate and business unit strategy, innovation, pricing, M&A, private equity diligence, and change management across hardware, software, semiconductors, and telecommunications.
Hang began his career in technology and engineering roles, including positions at Microsoft, where he worked as a Program Manager and Software Design Engineer, along with earlier software and hardware engineering internships across companies including Alcatel, Cypress Semiconductor, Altera, and Microsoft.
