Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands, June 2026 — Emma Furniss has joined Ayvens as Chief People Officer, bringing extensive international experience in human resources, talent management, leadership development, organizational strategy, and business transformation. Her appointment comes as Ayvens continues to strengthen its position as a leading global sustainable mobility company and advances its people and culture agenda across more than 42 countries.
In her new role, Emma will lead Ayvens’ global people strategy, talent development, organizational effectiveness, leadership capability building, and workforce transformation initiatives. Her appointment reflects the company’s commitment to fostering a high-performance culture while supporting its growth, sustainability, and digital transformation ambitions.
Prior to joining Ayvens, Emma spent more than eleven years with Philips, where she held a series of increasingly senior leadership positions across human resources and talent management. Most recently, she served as Head of People, Precision Diagnosis Business and Health Systems Services, leading people strategy for critical healthcare business segments and supporting organizational growth and transformation.
Before that, she was Head of People, Health Systems Businesses and Precision Diagnosis, where she played a key role in talent strategy, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and business performance across global healthcare operations.
Earlier at Philips, Emma served as Head of Learning and Talent Innovation, where she led Philips University, talent management, and leadership development practices across the organization. During this period, she was responsible for strengthening leadership capabilities, advancing talent innovation, and developing enterprise-wide learning strategies that supported business transformation.
Her career at Philips also included leadership positions as Head of HR: Innovation and Strategy, Legal and IP&S, HR Business Partner, Population Health Management, and HR Strategic Project Manager, providing her with broad experience across innovation, strategy, organizational design, people transformation, and HR business partnering.
Prior to Philips, Emma worked with Strategy& (formerly Booz & Company) as a Senior Associate (Project Manager) and earlier as a Senior Associate, advising organizations on strategic and organizational initiatives. Her analytical and consulting background helped build the foundation for her later leadership roles in people strategy and organizational transformation.
Earlier in her career, she served as a Leverhulme Trust Research Fellow at the University of Leiden, reflecting her strong academic foundation and commitment to research-driven thinking and innovation.
With more than two decades of experience spanning consulting, research, talent management, leadership development, and strategic HR leadership, Emma is well positioned to help Ayvens continue building a future-ready workforce and strengthening its global culture.
