Gurugram, Haryana, India, June 2026 — Niva Bupa Health Insurance has promoted Rahul Chatterjee to the position of Senior Vice President & Head of Marketing, strengthening its leadership team as competition within India’s health insurance sector continues to intensify. In his new role, Rahul will lead the company’s overall marketing strategy, brand development, customer acquisition initiatives, product marketing, and market positioning efforts. His promotion comes at a time when health insurance providers are focusing on innovation, customer education, digital engagement, and differentiated value propositions to meet evolving consumer expectations.
Rahul has been associated with Niva Bupa Health Insurance for more than four years and has played a pivotal role in strengthening the company’s brand presence. His progression through multiple leadership roles within the organization reflects his strong track record of delivering impactful marketing outcomes.
Prior to joining Niva Bupa Health Insurance, Rahul spent nearly six years with GSK Consumer Healthcare India, where he held positions including Senior Brand Manager, Brand Manager, and Brand Manager – Expert Marketing. During this period, he managed several well-known healthcare and consumer brands, including Ostocalcium, Horlicks, Growth+, Cardia+, Crocin, and Otrivin. He was responsible for annual operating plans, innovation launches, marketing strategy, demand generation, media investments, and healthcare professional engagement programs.

He also held product management roles at Cipla Ltd. and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, managing therapeutic portfolios across anti-infectives, anti-allergics, anti-malarials, nutrition products, and anti-diabetic categories. These experiences provided him with strong expertise in pharmaceutical marketing, consumer healthcare, brand building, market research, and commercial strategy.
With more than fifteen years of experience across health insurance, consumer healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and wellness sectors, Rahul brings a deep understanding of consumer behavior, healthcare marketing, product innovation, and brand leadership.
