New Delhi, Delhi, India, August 2026 — Vineet Kumar has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer at Bharat Grid Private Limited (BGPL). A distinguished business leader with over three decades of experience across the power, energy, renewable energy, transmission, and infrastructure sectors, he brings deep expertise in business strategy, sales leadership, power transmission, EPC, renewable energy, digital grid solutions, and business transformation. In his new role, he will lead Bharat Grid’s strategic vision, business growth, operational excellence, and expansion initiatives as the company strengthens its presence in India’s evolving power infrastructure landscape.
Prior to joining Bharat Grid Private Limited, Vineet Kumar served as President at Manikaran Power Limited for nearly five years. During his tenure, he was responsible for driving strategic business initiatives and strengthening the company’s presence across the energy and power sector while leading growth and operational excellence.
Earlier, he was Vice President – Sales and Business Development at Sterlite Power, where he led business development, market expansion, and transmission infrastructure solutions. He played a key role in promoting innovative transmission technologies, developing new business opportunities across utilities, industries, railways, and renewable energy, while driving profitable growth and supporting transformation initiatives.
Before Sterlite Power, Vineet spent nearly nine years with GE, including GE Power Conversion, where he held several senior leadership positions such as Sales Leader – Solar South Asia, Sales Leader – Energy Management, Sales Director – Digital Energy (South Asia), and Sales Director – Smart Grid. During this period, he led the growth of solar, smart grid, digital energy, and transmission businesses across South Asia, pioneered innovative technology deployments, expanded EPC capabilities, and successfully developed strategic partnerships across multiple international markets.
Earlier in his career, he served as Deputy General Manager – Marketing at Emco Ltd., where he led global sales, commercial operations, marketing, metering solutions, and smart grid initiatives while driving consistent business growth across government and private utilities. Prior to Emco, he worked with Crompton Greaves as Sales and Marketing Manager – Export, building strong expertise in international sales, techno-commercial negotiations, project execution, and business process transformation.
