Campbell, California, United States, August 2026 — RetailNext has appointed Andrew Golden as its Chief Experience Officer (CXO). In his new role, he will lead the company’s unified Customer Experience organization, bringing together customer experience, people experience, IT, and automation to help retailers maximize the value of RetailNext’s industry-leading in-store analytics platform. His appointment reflects RetailNext’s continued focus on delivering exceptional customer outcomes while strengthening employee experience through technology, AI, and operational excellence.
Andrew transitions into the role after serving as Chief People Officer at RetailNext, where he pioneered a product-led approach to people operations by embedding the HR function into broader business initiatives. During this period, he helped redefine how the company approached both employee and customer experience, leading projects that ultimately paved the way for the creation of his new executive mandate. As Chief Experience Officer, he will focus on simplifying customer journeys, enhancing product adoption, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring that employee experience and customer success evolve together.
Andrew has built more than 13 years of leadership experience, with the majority of his career spent at RetailNext. Since first joining the company in 2013 as its first in-house recruiter, he has progressed through a series of leadership positions including Recruiter, Recruiting and HR Analyst, HR and Talent Acquisition Manager, Head of People, and Chief People Officer. Throughout this journey, he played a pivotal role in supporting RetailNext’s global expansion, helping the organization grow from approximately 80 employees to a worldwide workforce spanning more than 25 countries. He has led global talent acquisition, people operations, total rewards, organizational development, learning and development, employee engagement, HR technology, information technology, and executive operations while supporting multiple acquisitions and large-scale business transformation initiatives.
Between his leadership tenures at RetailNext, Andrew also served as Chief Operating Officer at Cohen, Bender & Golden LLP, where he developed a scalable operating model, implemented CRM and billing systems that contributed to revenue growth, and standardized firm-wide operational processes to improve efficiency. Earlier in his career, he held commercial and research roles with PromoShop and the University of Oregon, respectively, building a diverse foundation across business operations, organizational effectiveness, and human behavior.
Andrew earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Business Administration from the University of Oregon, an academic background that complements his expertise in leadership, organizational development, customer experience, and people strategy.
