Gurugram, Haryana, India, July 2026 — Victoria University has appointed Sumedha Sharma as Director – Industry Partnerships & Career Services for its India operations.
In her new role, Sumedha will lead industry partnerships, employer engagement, and career services, helping organizations access a highly skilled talent pool across Data Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Business Analytics, and Management. She will work closely with employers to strengthen campus hiring, industry collaboration, and workforce readiness while expanding career opportunities for students and professionals.
Sumedha brings over two decades of experience spanning corporate relations, career services, enterprise sales, executive search, placements, learning and development, and industry engagement across the higher education and EdTech ecosystem.
Prior to joining Victoria University India, she served as Senior Director & Head – Corporate Relations & Career Services at Hero Vired, where she led employer partnerships, placement strategy, and corporate engagement initiatives, helping strengthen the institution’s industry connect and career outcomes.
Before that, she spent more than three years at Great Learning, progressing from AGM – Corporate Engagement to DGM – Corporate Engagement | Career Services & Outreach | Placements. During this period, she expanded employer partnerships, strengthened placement initiatives, and collaborated with leading organizations to create hiring opportunities across technology and management domains.
Earlier, Sumedha was National Head – Enterprise Sales | B2B | Learning & Development Solutions at Hughes Global Education, where she partnered with business and HR leaders to design learning and capability-building solutions that addressed organizational talent development needs.
She also served as Senior Manager – B2B Corporate Sales, Account Management & Placements at BRIDGE School of Management, playing a key role in corporate partnerships, placement programs, and enterprise engagement.
Earlier in her career, Sumedha founded Edify Consultant, an executive search firm focused on talent acquisition and leadership hiring. She also held management roles with Future Group India in risk and underwriting and began her corporate journey with Citi, where she worked in sales.
An alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur, Sumedha combines strong business development capabilities with deep expertise in career services, employer engagement, talent acquisition, and higher education partnerships.
At Victoria University India, she will play a pivotal role in expanding strategic industry collaborations, enhancing employability initiatives, and strengthening the university’s position as a preferred destination for industry-ready talent.
