Gurugram, Haryana, India, July2026 — KPMG India has promoted Sharon Singh Thakur to Director, recognizing her decade-long journey with the firm and her contributions to cybersecurity, technology consulting, and digital transformation.
Sharon has spent her entire professional career at KPMG India, steadily progressing through a series of leadership roles over more than 10 years. She joined the firm as an Associate Consultant and subsequently advanced to Consultant, Assistant Manager, Manager, and Associate Director, before being promoted to Director. Throughout her journey, she has led strategic client engagements across cybersecurity, technology risk, governance, digital transformation, and enterprise resilience while mentoring high-performing consulting teams and supporting clients across multiple industries.
Earlier in her career, Sharon gained industry exposure as an Information Security Analyst Intern with the Indian Infosec Consortium, where she developed her foundation in information security and cyber risk management before embarking on her consulting career.
An alumna of Symbiosis International University, where she earned her MBA in Information Technology Business Management, Sharon further strengthened her leadership capabilities through the Global Future Cyber Leaders’ Program at Nova School of Business and Economics, focusing on strategic leadership, artificial intelligence, cyber strategy, and executive storytelling.
In her new role as Director, Sharon will continue helping organizations strengthen cyber resilience, manage technology risk, accelerate digital transformation, and navigate an increasingly complex cybersecurity landscape.
