Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, February 2025 – Priti Kataria has been appointed as the Chief People Officer (CPO) at Birlasoft. In this role, she will focus on fostering a high-performance culture, strengthening Birlasoft’s employer brand, and driving a people-centric, agile organization. She succeeds Arun Dinakar Rao, who transitioned into a new role within the company. With 26 years of experience in the IT industry, Priti brings expertise in global talent strategy, change management, and organizational transformation, making her a valuable addition to Birlasoft’s leadership team.
Before joining Birlasoft, Priti Kataria was at Wipro for nearly 25 years, holding multiple senior leadership roles in human resources. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President and CHRO – Wipro Enterprise Futuring, where she played a crucial role in driving talent engagement, leadership development, and HR transformation initiatives. Prior to this, she was the Senior Vice President & CHRO – iCORE, responsible for strategic workforce planning, HR operations, and cultural transformation across Wipro’s global business units.
During her tenure at Wipro, Priti held multiple leadership positions, including Vice President and HR Head – BFSI SBU, where she led HR strategies for the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance business unit. She also served as Vice President & Global HR Head – Manufacturing & Technology SBU, leading HR transformation initiatives across Wipro’s global technology workforce. Earlier, she was the Vice President & Global HR Head – Global Infrastructure Services (GIS), overseeing 40,000+ employees across multiple geographies.
Priti started her career at Wipro Infotech, where she held progressively senior roles, including Regional Resource Manager – North & East, leading recruitment initiatives across 40+ campuses, and Senior HR Executive – Corporate HR, driving HR operations and talent acquisition strategies.
