Anneleen Straetemans Appointed as Chief People & Legal Officer at Naked Wines

London, England, United Kingdom, August 2025 – Anneleen Straetemans has taken on a new role as Chief People & Legal Officer at Naked Wines, bringing her rich blend of legal acumen, people leadership, and deep passion for the wine industry to one of the most disruptive direct-to-consumer wine brands globally.

Straetemans steps into this role with a powerful personal mission — to empower Naked Wines’ team to strengthen the connection between independent winemakers and wine lovers, while also shaping a people-first, culture-driven organization. Her leadership will be critical in reinforcing the company’s legal resilience and people capability as it continues to scale its impact across markets.

Prior to joining Naked Wines, Anneleen founded Nova Radix, a venture that partners with rebel winemakers crafting low-intervention wines from native grapes. The startup connects these unique creations with a community of wine lovers, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit and strong commitment to preserving viticultural biodiversity.

Earlier, she served as Global Head of Legal & Corporate Affairs, Direct to Consumer at AB InBev, where she established a global legal function to support the company’s D2C innovations, including delivery platforms like TaDa and PerfectDraft. Across her 7-year journey with AB InBev, she held key roles including Global Legal Director at ZX Ventures, Global Director of Competition, and interim Global VP Legal & Corporate Affairs, supporting innovation, growth equity, compliance, and antitrust strategy.

She also spent over six years at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, gaining extensive experience in European competition law and dispute resolution. Throughout her career, she has held director-level roles across ventures such as Beer Hawk, Birra Del Borgo, and Brouwerij Bosteels, strengthening her leadership credentials within the beverage and consumer sectors.

Anneleen Straetemans holds a Master’s degree in Law from KU Leuven, where she also served as a Teaching Assistant in European Substantive Law and contributed research to the Centre for Intellectual Property.
