With more than 35 years of experience in information technology, digital transformation, human resources, and executive leadership within the insurance industry, Raphaël has played a pivotal role in shaping Ageas’ technology vision. His promotion reflects the Group’s continued commitment to leveraging technology as a strategic enabler for business growth and customer value.

Raphaël has been with Ageas Group since 2019, serving as Technology Development Director, where he led initiatives to leverage technology, data, and digital capabilities across the Group’s operating companies. In this role, he focused on creating smart synergies by supporting business transformation through technology innovation, strengthening IT capabilities, and enabling greater collaboration across Ageas’ international operations.

Prior to joining Ageas Group, Raphaël spent nearly 10 years with AG Insurance, holding several senior executive positions including Chief Information Officer (CIO), Communication and HR Director, HR Director, and previously Chief Technology Officer. During his tenure, he successfully led enterprise-wide technology modernization, digital transformation, organizational development, and people initiatives, demonstrating his ability to integrate technology, business strategy, and organizational leadership.

Earlier in his career, Raphaël held a succession of senior IT leadership roles within Fortis and Fortis Insurance Belgium, including Head of IT Strategic Services, Head of IT Solution Delivery Support, Head of IT Support to Development Teams, and Head of IT Data Management & Database Administration. He began his professional journey with AG1824, where he served as IT Data Administrator, laying the technical foundation for a distinguished career spanning more than three decades.

As Chief Technology Officer, Raphaël will lead Ageas’ technology agenda, advancing digital innovation, strengthening data capabilities, and enabling the Group’s long-term strategic ambitions through modern technology platforms and enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
