Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, April 2026 — Sahamati has welcomed Mr. Suraj Moraje, former Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company and former Group MD & CEO of Quess Corp Limited, to its Board of Directors. His appointment marks an important addition to the organization as it continues to advance its mission of transforming people’s data wealth into economic wealth. With a distinguished leadership journey across consulting, business transformation, entrepreneurship, and board leadership, he brings a powerful combination of strategic depth, operational scale, and impact-driven thinking to the boardroom.
Mr. Suraj Moraje is currently the Founder of The Eka Fellowship, an initiative focused on enabling long-term social mobility by supporting students from the end of the 8th standard until they secure their first jobs. He is also the Founder of Beyond Trees, a venture centered on restoring degraded land into ecologically rich natural estates. In addition, he serves as an Independent Director at Ashiana Housing Limited. These roles reflect his continued focus on institution building, sustainability, and long-term social impact.
Earlier, he served as Group MD & CEO of Quess Corp Limited, where he led a broad transformation of the publicly listed company. Prior to that, he spent more than two decades with McKinsey & Company as Senior Partner, serving clients across Asia and EMEA on technology-led transformations. His leadership at McKinsey included roles such as leading the Middle East & African TMT practice and contributing to the transformation of the Philippines Office. His journey reflects a rare blend of global consulting experience and hands-on business leadership.
Academically, Suraj Moraje holds a PGDM from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and also completed an MBA Student Exchange Program at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management. His educational and professional background together underscore a strong foundation in management, transformation, and strategic leadership.
With experience spanning The Eka Fellowship, Beyond Trees, Ashiana Housing Limited, Quess Corp Limited, and McKinsey & Company, Mr. Suraj Moraje brings a distinguished and well-rounded profile to Sahamati’s Board of Directors.
