Hyderabad, Telangana, India, July 2026 – Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories has elevated Rahul Shroti to the role of Country Head – Emerging Markets (Sri Lanka, Maldives, Mauritius) while continuing to lead Business Development and Portfolio initiatives for the ISC region.
The appointment reflects the company’s confidence in Rahul’s ability to drive growth across strategically important emerging markets and further strengthen Dr. Reddy’s presence in South Asia and the Indian Subcontinent region. In his expanded leadership role, Rahul will be responsible for business growth, market expansion, portfolio strategy, partner management, commercial execution, and overall P&L performance across Sri Lanka, Maldives, and Mauritius.
Rahul has been associated with Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories for more than seven years and has played an instrumental role in expanding the company’s footprint across emerging markets. Over this period, he has successfully led business development initiatives, alliance management programs, portfolio expansion strategies, and commercial operations across multiple international markets.
Prior to his latest elevation, Rahul served as Country Lead – Emerging Markets and Lead – Business Development & Portfolio for the ISC region. In these roles, he was responsible for market strategy, sales growth, new product launches, portfolio building, regulatory coordination, alliance management, and identifying new business opportunities across emerging markets.
Earlier, as Manager – Business Development & Alliance Management for Emerging Markets, he led strategic partnerships, licensing transactions, distribution agreements, portfolio expansion initiatives, and commercialization programs. He worked closely with cross-functional teams spanning regulatory affairs, supply chain, finance, legal, medical affairs, and commercial operations to drive successful market execution and partner performance.
Before joining Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories in 2019, Rahul spent over five years with Torrent Pharmaceuticals, where he held leadership roles in Portfolio and Project Management. During his tenure, he managed product identification, portfolio planning, project execution, regulatory coordination, commercialization strategies, and business evaluation activities for global pharmaceutical markets.
His earlier experience includes assignments with AIOCD Awacs, IJCP Group, and Siemens Healthcare, where he gained exposure to pharmaceutical marketing, business development, healthcare market analysis, project management, and commercial strategy.
Throughout his career, Rahul has developed deep expertise across international business, emerging markets strategy, portfolio management, alliance management, business development, commercial operations, licensing, partner management, product launches, and P&L leadership. His ability to identify growth opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and execute market expansion strategies has contributed significantly to business growth across multiple geographies.
Rahul’s elevation comes at a time when emerging pharmaceutical markets continue to offer significant opportunities for growth, driven by increasing healthcare access, expanding patient populations, and rising demand for affordable medicines.
