Lusaka, Zambia, June 2026 — Emeritus Reinsurance Zambia Ltd has appointed Kabwe Kufika as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Kufika joins the executive leadership team following several years of experience across finance management, financial reporting, audit, telecommunications, digital financial services, and insurance sectors.
Prior to joining Emeritus Reinsurance, he served as Finance Manager at Hollard Insurance from August 2023 to June 2026 in Lusaka, Zambia.
Before joining Hollard Insurance, Kufika worked as Finance Manager at SPENN Zambia from February 2020 to August 2023. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and Country Manager, he was responsible for the preparation of annual financial statements, budgeting, financial planning, management reporting, stakeholder engagement, and supporting senior management decision-making processes.
His responsibilities included oversight of finance department operations, month-end close processes, preparation and analysis of management accounts, financial reporting, budget management, ratio analysis, variance analysis, accounts receivable and accounts payable management, supplier reconciliations, and coordination with auditors, financial institutions, and other external stakeholders.
Earlier, Kufika served as Revenue Analyst at MTN Zambia from December 2018 to February 2020. In this role, he supported senior management through financial reporting, financial analysis, intercompany accounting activities, account reconciliations, and group reporting processes.
He began his professional career with PwC, where he worked as an Associate from March 2017 to December 2018. During his tenure, he participated in statutory audits with specialization across banking, telecommunications, and non-governmental organization sectors.
Throughout his career, Kufika has developed experience in financial reporting, budgeting, management accounting, audit, financial analysis, revenue management, accounts receivable management, accounts payable management, risk analysis, and finance operations.
