Mitwa Kaemba Ng'ambi Appointed Group Chief People & Culture Officer at MTN Group

Johannesburg, South Africa, June 2026 — MTN Group has appointed Mitwa Kaemba Ng’ambi as Group Chief People & Culture Officer, joining the Group Executive Committee no later than 1 September 2026. She succeeds Paul Norman, who is set to retire later this year.

Ng’ambi currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of MTN Côte d’Ivoire, a position she has held since March 2025. Prior to this role, she served as Chief Executive Officer of MTN Cameroon from September 2022 to February 2025 and Chief Executive Officer of MTN Rwanda from October 2019 to September 2022.

Before rejoining MTN’s executive leadership ranks, she served as Chief Executive Officer of AirtelTigo Ghana.

Earlier, Ng’ambi was associated with Millicom (Tigo) in Senegal, where she served as Chief Executive Officer and previously as Chief Commercial Officer .

Prior to Millicom, she held the position of Chief Marketing Officer at MTN Benin , leading functions including strategy, business intelligence, consumer marketing, brand management, communications, product development, innovation, and mobile money.

Her earlier MTN experience includes leadership roles at MTN Zambia, where she served as Senior Manager: Planning, Products & Services, Manager: IT Business Relations, and Manager: Solutions Delivery.

Before entering the telecommunications sector, Ng’ambi worked with Danske Bank International S.A. in Copenhagen as an IT Developer and Assistant Project Manager.

According to MTN Group, Ng’ambi brings more than 15 years of leadership experience across Zambia, Benin, Senegal, Ghana, Rwanda, Cameroon, and Côte d’Ivoire.
