Bengaluru, India, July 2026 — Setu has appointed Chinmay Pol as Business Head – Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS). In this strategic leadership role, he will lead the growth and expansion of Setu’s BBPS business, driving strategic partnerships, business development, ecosystem expansion, and digital payment innovation as the company continues to strengthen India’s fintech infrastructure.
Chinmay joins Setu with more than two decades of experience across digital payments, banking, fintech, financial services, business development, and strategic partnerships.
Most recently, he served as Head – Banking Alliances & Biller Acquisition at NPCI Bharat BillPay Limited, where he was responsible for expanding the Bharat Bill Payment System ecosystem by building banking partnerships and onboarding billers to accelerate adoption of India’s interoperable bill payment platform.
Prior to NPCI Bharat BillPay, Chinmay was Business Head – Fintech at OneAssist Consumer Solutions, leading fintech business initiatives and driving partnerships focused on customer-centric financial solutions.
Earlier, he served as National Sales Head at EarlySalary, where he led nationwide sales strategy and business growth for the digital lending platform, strengthening enterprise partnerships and expanding market reach.
Before that, Chinmay spent nearly four years at Zeta in senior leadership positions, including Head – Client Acquisition and Zonal Director. He spearheaded client acquisition, led high-performing sales teams, and drove the adoption of digital payment, employee benefits, and tax-saving solutions among corporate clients across India.
Earlier in his career, he served as Head – Corporate Salary at Kotak Mahindra Bank, where he led corporate salary business initiatives and strengthened relationships with enterprise clients.
He also co-founded City Infonet Pvt. Ltd., leading business and product strategy while building an innovative digital library platform for readers.
Chinmay previously spent over seven years with ICICI Bank as Regional Product Head & Business Development, managing a broad portfolio including CASA, NRI banking, fixed deposits, insurance, mutual funds, and wealth products while driving regional business growth.
He began his professional journey with Videocon International Limited, where he gained valuable experience in channel sales and distribution management.
An MBA in Marketing from SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Chinmay brings extensive expertise in fintech, digital payments, banking alliances, business strategy, enterprise sales, ecosystem partnerships, product commercialization, and customer acquisition. His experience across banks, fintech platforms, payment infrastructure, and digital financial services positions him well to lead Setu’s Bharat Bill Payment System business during its next phase of growth.
