Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, July 2026 — HDFC Pension has appointed Hetal Javeri-Nandu as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), strengthening its leadership team as the organization continues to expand its position in India’s rapidly growing pension fund management industry.
In her new role, Hetal will lead the organization’s people strategy, overseeing talent management, organizational design, leadership development, employee engagement, workforce planning, and HR transformation. She will play a key role in strengthening HDFC Pension’s people practices and building a future-ready workforce aligned with the company’s long-term growth ambitions.
Prior to joining HDFC Pension, Hetal served as Vice President – Human Resources at HDFC Life, where she led the strategic HR partnership for the HDFC Bank relationship through a high-performing team of HR Business Partners. She was responsible for aligning people strategy with business objectives while supporting organizational growth across one of India’s leading life insurance companies.
Earlier, she spent over five years with SBI General Insurance, where she served as Head – Business HR, leading HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, employee engagement, and rewards & recognition initiatives. Before that, she was Lead – Corporate HR, heading several HR Centres of Excellence, including performance management, compensation & benefits, rewards and recognition, employee engagement, talent management, HR policies, and HR analytics.
She began her journey at SBI General Insurance in progressive HR leadership roles as Corporate HR Manager, Deputy Manager – HR, and Assistant Manager – HR, where she partnered closely with business teams, contributed to competency framework design, HRMS implementation, HR policy development, employee referral programs, and HR business partnering initiatives.
Hetal holds a Master of Management Studies (MMS) in Human Resources from the K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management and Research.
With over 16 years of experience across strategic HR, talent strategy, organizational development, performance management, compensation, employee engagement, and HR transformation within the BFSI sector, Hetal brings a strong leadership background that will support HDFC Pension’s continued growth and people excellence journey.
