New Delhi, India, November 2024 – Mankind Pharma Ltd, one of India’s leading pharmaceutical companies, has announced the appointment of Abhay Kumar Srivastava as Senior President Operations. In his elevated role, Abhay will oversee the company’s strategic and operational goals, focusing on optimizing manufacturing processes and ensuring compliance with global pharmaceutical standards. His leadership is expected to further strengthen Mankind Pharma’s reputation for delivering affordable and accessible healthcare solutions.
Prior to this appointment, Abhay Kumar Srivastava held the position of President Operations at Mankind Pharma Ltd, where he contributed significantly to streamlining manufacturing operations, enhancing plant compliance, and leading process improvements for over seven years. His efforts played a key role in aligning operations with the company’s growth trajectory.
Before joining Mankind Pharma, Abhay served as Senior Vice President – Plant Operation at USV Private Limited for nearly 10 years, where he managed multiple manufacturing units and led initiatives for compliance, operational efficiency, and contract manufacturing. His leadership ensured seamless operations across several facilities, fostering innovation and quality production.
At Alkem Laboratories Ltd, Abhay was instrumental in managing manufacturing and warehousing activities, including MHRA- and FDA-approved facilities. Over his six-year tenure, he reduced obsolescence and optimized material planning processes, contributing significantly to operational excellence.
Abhay also gained valuable experience at Sun Pharma, where he led plant operations and played a pivotal role in the startup and stabilization of a tablet manufacturing facility. His contributions included resolving workmen strikes and establishing efficient operational workflows during the critical project phase.
Early in his career, he held leadership roles at TCH, Unichem Laboratories Limited, and Aristo Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd, where he contributed to plant design, project execution, and process improvements. His diverse experience across multiple pharmaceutical organizations has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing operations and compliance standards.
