Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, November 2025 — Abhhishek M Shharma has been appointed as Head of Human Resources at Burjeel Holdings, a leading premium healthcare group in the MENA region. In his new role, Abhhishek will spearhead the organization’s human resources strategy, transformation, and capability development across its extensive network of hospitals and healthcare entities, further strengthening Burjeel’s position as a world-class healthcare employer.
Before this appointment, Abhhishek was part of Burjeel Holdings as Head of HR Transformation, where he led strategic initiatives in HR Shared Services, HR Automation, HRMS Implementation, and ESG programs. His contributions during this phase played a vital role in driving operational excellence, efficiency, and digital integration within the organization’s HR ecosystem.
Prior to joining Burjeel Holdings, Abhhishek served as Group Head – HR Operations, Shared Services, and Transformation at Adani Enterprises Limited, where he oversaw large-scale HR transformation across multiple geographies, including India, the UAE, and other global markets. He successfully designed and implemented shared service delivery models and led process automation initiatives that enhanced employee experience and governance across the conglomerate.
Before Adani, he held a pivotal leadership position at Aster DM Healthcare as Head of Human Resources (Shared Services), where he established one of the first large-scale HR shared services centers in India to support the GCC market. Under his leadership, the organization built and scaled multi-functional shared services spanning Revenue Cycle Management, HR, IT, Finance, Procurement, and Legal, significantly improving service delivery and operational productivity.
Earlier in his career, Abhhishek served as Practice Head – India & GCC at IC Consulting, where he led a team of over 250 professionals across India, Europe, and North America. His consulting expertise covered HR advisory, M&A, board governance, and international expansion strategies, making him a sought-after advisor to several boards and leadership teams. He also gained rich corporate experience at Tata Motors, Essar, Fedbank Financial Services, and Saint-Gobain Weber India, where he held progressive HR leadership roles across talent acquisition, business HR, compensation & benefits, and organizational development.
Abhhishek holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resources Development from Southern New Hampshire University, USA. His academic foundation and international exposure have been instrumental in shaping his strategic and cross-cultural leadership capabilities.
