Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, October 2025 — Adani Group, one of India’s largest diversified conglomerates, has elevated Mitul Thakkar to the position of Head of Media Relations and Partnerships. Mitul has been associated with Adani Group for nearly nine years, where he has played an integral role in shaping the company’s communication strategy and brand narrative. Prior to this elevation, he served as Associate Vice President – Corporate Brand Custodian, leading communication and branding initiatives for Adani’s Mining & Metals portfolio, and fostering strategic alignment between business growth and brand reputation.

Earlier, as General Manager and subsequently Associate Vice President, he was instrumental in driving corporate communication programs for the Group’s energy, infrastructure, and natural resources businesses. His work encompassed marketing communications, stakeholder engagement, digital strategy, and media relations, positioning Adani as a thought leader in India’s infrastructure and industrial ecosystem.

Before joining Adani, Mitul headed Corporate Marketing at Sterlite Power, where he managed corporate branding, internal and external communications, and market development strategies. His leadership helped enhance Sterlite’s visibility and influence within the power transmission and infrastructure domain.

Mitul began his career in journalism, spending more than a decade reporting for leading business publications such as The Economic Times, Business Standard, and DNA. During his tenure, he covered key sectors including energy, infrastructure, economy, and policy, establishing himself as a respected voice in business reporting. His transition from media to corporate communications was marked by his deep understanding of narrative-building, policy dynamics, and stakeholder relations.

An alumnus of The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Mitul holds a Master’s degree in Communication Studies, bringing together analytical depth and storytelling expertise to his communications leadership.
