Doha, Qatar, December 2024 – Ahmad Al Salem has been appointed as the Cluster Director of People & Culture – Shared Services at Minor Hotels, overseeing all Minor Hotels in Doha, including Anantara Hotels & Resorts, Tivoli Hotels & Resorts, and Oaks Hotels, Resorts & Suites. Ahmad’s role will encompass leadership in talent management, employee engagement, and the development of innovative HR strategies to support the organization’s dynamic growth.
Ahmad brings extensive experience in human resources and people management to his new role. Prior to joining Minor Hotels, he was the Director of People & Culture | Luxury & Lifestyle at IHG Hotels & Resorts in Doha, where he played a pivotal role in the unique opening of a luxury property and ensured best-in-class HR practices for over two years.
Before IHG, Ahmad served as the Director of Human Resources at Grand Hyatt Amman for four years, where he successfully led HR operations and contributed to the hotel’s strategic goals. His earlier tenure at IHG Hotels & Resorts spanned over seven years, during which he held various positions, including Cluster HR Manager and Cluster Assistant HR Manager – In Charge, showcasing his versatility in recruitment, development, and HR leadership across properties in Jordan.
Ahmad also gained valuable experience at The Coca-Cola Company and Emirates College of Technology, focusing on recruitment and development. His career began as a Management Trainee in the HR Function at Yarmouk University, setting the stage for a successful career in HR leadership.
