Schaumburg, Illinois, United States, July 2024 – Al Crook has been appointed as the new Chief Human Resources Officer at Zurich North America. In this role, Al will oversee all aspects of Zurich North America’s Human Resources function, focusing on fostering an empowered culture driven by values and delivering business priorities through the company’s talented workforce.
Al Crook has been with Zurich North America for nearly ten years. Prior to his promotion, he served as the Head of Human Resources Business Partners, North America, where he led a team of HR business partners to support and drive the HR strategy across the organization. His leadership and strategic insights have been pivotal in enhancing HR operations and employee engagement.
Before joining Zurich North America, Al held the position of Group Director, HR at HSBC from May 2004 to December 2014. During his decade-long tenure at HSBC, he played a significant role in shaping the HR policies and practices that supported the organization’s global operations and workforce.
Al’s career in HR began with Household International, where he served as an HR Manager from January 1993 to May 2004. In this role, he gained extensive experience in HR management, employee relations, and organizational development, laying the foundation for his successful career in human resources.
