Reading, England, United Kingdom, August 2025 – Alison Bawn has been appointed as Chief People Officer at O2 Daisy, the new standalone business created by uniting Virgin Media O2 Business and Daisy to transform the telecommunications and IT landscape. In her new role, she will lead all aspects of people strategy, including talent acquisition, organisational design, succession planning, employee engagement, total rewards, and leadership development—ensuring O2 Daisy delivers on its mission to provide the technology that makes every business better.
Bawn most recently served for over three years with Virgin Media O2, where she held multiple leadership roles, including People Director, Talent & Partnering, People Director, Business, Wholesale & Network Expansion, and People Director, Virgin Media O2 Business & Wholesale. She partnered with senior executives to deliver workforce planning, talent development, and engagement strategies that supported growth and innovation across diverse business divisions.
Before the merger that formed Virgin Media O2, Bawn was People Director at Virgin Media Business for nearly three years, following more than three years as People Director, Support Division and Head of People, Customer Contact at Virgin Media. In these roles, she implemented strategic HR programmes that strengthened employee experience, improved leadership capability, and enhanced organisational effectiveness.
Earlier in her career, Bawn was Head of HR at Aviva, partnering with the Group HR Director to deliver a global people plan and leading initiatives in Workday implementation, job family frameworks, employee engagement, and culture transformation. She also held senior HR business partner roles with BAA and Yell, where she drove talent, succession, and organisational change programmes to support business objectives.
