In his new position at Vertiv, Yogesh is responsible for coordinating cross-functional activities across multiple related projects aligned with strategic business goals. His role focuses on driving execution excellence, stakeholder alignment, and structured program governance within new product development and introduction (NPDI) initiatives, particularly in data center and digital infrastructure environments.

Prior to joining Vertiv, Yogesh served in Engineering Project Management at EnerSys, where he led cross-functional engineering programs for lithium-ion battery packs (400V, 200V, and 48V) across diverse industrial applications. He oversaw end-to-end R&D and product development lifecycles—from concept through validation—while aligning global engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams. His work included leading a 400V battery pack concept for data center applications and managing validation objectives aligned with UL9540A, UL1973, and UN38.3 standards.

Before EnerSys, Yogesh built a distinguished 16+ year tenure at KPIT, culminating as Senior Practice Director. He managed complex global vehicle and battery programs for European, US, and Asian OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers, overseeing DV & PV builds, PPAP readiness, DFMEA/DVP&R processes, and multi-geography product launches. His leadership spanned hybrid vehicle battery packs, PHEV packaging programs, and full vehicle engineering execution across international markets.

Earlier in his career, Yogesh held engineering and program leadership roles at General Motors Technical Center India, Johnson Controls, Bharat Forge Ltd, and Avadh Steel Forging Pvt Ltd, building deep expertise in automotive engineering, product lifecycle management, and manufacturing system.

Beyond his corporate leadership, Yogesh serves his community as a Member of the Zoning Board of Appeals and Commissioner of the Beautification Commission for the City of Novi, Michigan, reflecting his commitment to civic engagement and governance.

He holds a Master of Technology (MTech) in Foundry & Forge Technology from the National Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Ranchi, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the Institution of Engineers of India (IEI), Kolkata.

With over three decades of experience spanning automotive engineering, battery systems, product lifecycle management, and strategic program leadership, Yogesh Kumar PMP’s appointment marks a significant addition to Vertiv’s innovation and delivery ecosystem.
