Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, March 2026 — Welspun Corp Limited has appointed Amit Agarwal as Senior General Manager. In this new role, he joins the organisation’s leadership team, bringing experience across administration, operations, logistics, procurement, and large-scale people and facility management.
Amit Agarwal begins this assignment at Welspun Corp Limited after holding senior responsibilities across diverse operational environments. His experience reflects strong execution capability in managing complex operations, leading large teams, and driving process improvements aligned with safety, service delivery, and performance outcomes.
Before joining Welspun Corp Limited, Amit Agarwal served as Purchase Director at Manipal University Jaipur, where he handled purchase leadership responsibilities aligned with institutional operations.
Earlier, he worked with Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. as General Manager & HoD Administration, where he led township administration and large-scale facilities oversight, managing extensive residential infrastructure, hostels, guest houses, and recreational facilities. His role also included focused initiatives on safety, maintenance upgrades, emergency preparedness, process streamlining, stakeholder coordination, and event execution.
Prior to this, he spent significant years with the Indian Army, serving in leadership roles across operations, supply chain, logistics, transport, warehousing, procurement, contract negotiations, fleet readiness, and crisis management across varied terrains and high-stakes operational contexts. Across these responsibilities, he led large teams, managed major logistics fleets, supported multi-utility facilities, and executed structured programs focused on readiness, safety, and operational continuity.
He has also pursued business learning through the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, completing a Business Management Program aligned with leadership and management development.
