Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, May 2025 — Amit Patel has been appointed as Head – Consumer Marketing Excellence at Cipla India Rx, ushering in a new phase of insight-led brand engagement and therapeutic storytelling across the company’s portfolio. With over two decades of experience across digital marketing, e-commerce, and healthcare communication, Amit’s elevation marks a strategic move to strengthen Cipla’s consumer-first approach within the prescription (Rx) ecosystem.

Amit joined Cipla in 2022 and most recently served as Director & Senior Marketing Head – Consumer Marketing (Respiratory), where he led impactful campaigns such as Berok Zindagi, Tuffies, and Meethi Zindagi, focused on respiratory and metabolic health. These initiatives not only shifted public perception around chronic conditions like asthma and diabetes but also integrated digital, social, and content-first narratives to engage doctors, patients, and partners meaningfully. He also spearheaded Cipla’s historic 90-year legacy campaign, marking the company’s first corporate branding initiative of such scale.

Before Cipla, Amit was Head of Digital Marketing and E-commerce at Dabur International based in Dubai, where he managed digital growth across MENA, Sub-Saharan Africa, the U.S., and other emerging markets. His earlier leadership roles at VLCC, Lemuda.com, and Carbon Media Works gave him broad exposure to brand building, performance marketing, and global consumer strategy across health and beauty sectors.

Amit’s professional foundation in strategic planning, consumer insight, and cross-platform storytelling equips him to lead Cipla’s vision of embedding patient-centric narratives across therapeutic categories and advancing AI-enabled, data-backed marketing excellence. In his new role, he will drive brand stewardship, innovation, and patient engagement across Cipla India Rx.
