Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, February 2026 — Intas Pharmaceuticals has announced the appointment of Ayan Basak as General Manager – New Product Launch (NPL). Ayan Basak brings over 16 years of experience spanning new product launches, demand planning, supply chain distribution, and inventory management. His career has been defined by managing complex, multi-geography launch programmes, driving cross-functional collaboration, and leading digital transformation initiatives focused on efficiency, visibility, and process optimisation within supply chain operations.

Before joining Intas Pharmaceuticals, Ayan was associated with JAMP India Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd., where he served as Deputy General Manager – Planning and New Product Launches and earlier as Assistant General Manager – Planning and New Product Launches. During his tenure, he led India- and Canada-based teams, oversaw CMO operations across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, and successfully delivered more than 100 molecule launches in regulated markets, consistently achieving Day-1 launch targets.

Prior to JAMP, Ayan spent close to five years with Zydus Group, where he held roles including Manager and Associate Manager – Demand & New Product Launches for regulated and emerging markets. He managed the complete new product launch portfolio for the US market, drove large-scale digital transformation initiatives in partnership with Ernst & Young, and played a key role in launching over 63 molecules and more than 200 SKUs, while managing long-range planning and S&OP processes.

Earlier in his career, Ayan worked with Alembic Pharmaceuticals Limited as Assistant Manager – SCM Demand & New Product Launch Planning, where he handled demand planning and forecasting for European markets and coordinated closely with regulatory, quality, production, and logistics teams to ensure seamless launches and fulfilment.

He began his professional journey at SCHOTT Poonawalla, managing national-level supply chain and distribution operations, and subsequently gained early exposure to large-scale manufacturing supply chains at Emami Ltd, where he supported production planning, distribution, and new product launch coordination across multiple facilities.

With his deep expertise in new product launches, regulated market supply chains, and operational excellence, Ayan Basak is expected to make a strong contribution to Intas’ continued global growth and launch execution excellence.
