Seattle, Washington, United States, September 2025 – Darigold, Inc., one of the largest U.S. dairy producers and the processing and marketing arm of the Northwest Dairy Association (NDA), has announced the appointment of Amy Humphreys as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1, 2025. Humphreys returns to the company after previously serving as Chief Financial Officer from 2015 to 2018, bringing deep industry expertise and intimate familiarity with Darigold’s operations.
Amy Humphreys succeeds Allan Huttema, who led Darigold through a critical phase beginning in 2023, including the launch of a major new production facility in Pasco, Washington. Huttema will now return to his Idaho-based dairy farm as an NDA member-owner. In making the announcement, Tim Kuenzi, Chairman of Darigold’s Board and an NDA member in Oregon, praised Amy’s “proven track record in leadership with vertically integrated food businesses,” noting her strengths in performance-driven leadership, sustainable resource management, and business transformation.
Humphreys assumes leadership at a key juncture in Darigold’s strategic roadmap. The company’s investments in modern infrastructure and expansion initiatives are aimed at delivering sustainable growth, operational efficiency, and increased value to its farmer-owners. Her return marks a pivotal moment as Darigold accelerates its modernization efforts.
With a distinguished leadership career across food manufacturing, petroleum, and other sectors, Humphreys has held several C-level roles, sits on multiple corporate boards, and is a member of the Economic Advisory Council for the Federal Reserve Board’s 12th District, as well as a Nominating Committee member for CoBank. Her educational background includes an MBA from the University of Washington Foster School of Business, a BA in Accounting and Finance from Puget Sound University, and she is a Certified Public Accountant in Washington state.
“Amy is the right leader for our company as we begin this important chapter,” said Kuenzi. “We are confident she will build upon the progress made under Allan’s leadership and take Darigold into its next era of success.”
