Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, December 2024 – Kedaara Capital has announced the elevation of Anant Gupta to the role of Partner. This recognition underscores his significant contributions to the firm’s growth, investments, and value creation over the past twelve years. Anant’s leadership has been pivotal in driving the company’s long-term growth and successful exits.
Anant Gupta has been an integral part of Kedaara Capital for over 12 years. He joined as a Senior Associate and steadily advanced through roles of increasing responsibility, including Vice President, Principal, and Managing Director, before being elevated to Partner. During his tenure, Anant has played a key role in driving strategic investments and creating value for the firm’s portfolio companies.
Prior to his time at Kedaara, Anant served as an Associate at Tata Opportunities Fund for nearly a year and a half, contributing to private equity investments across diverse sectors. Earlier, he gained valuable experience as an Associate in the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs in New York, where he focused on M&A and financial advisory within the Consumer and Retail Group for approximately two years. His earlier stint at Goldman Sachs also included a summer role as a Summer Associate.
Anant’s professional journey began at ITC Limited, where he spent four years as an Assistant Manager and Category Manager, honing his skills in brand management and category strategy.
Beyond his professional roles, Anant has held numerous board memberships in companies such as Lenskart.com, Purplle.com, and OWNDAYS CO LTD, among others. His expertise has been instrumental in driving strategic growth and governance across these organizations.
Anant holds an MBA in Finance from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, where he was inducted into Beta Sigma Gamma and received the Dean’s Distinguished Service Award. He also earned a Dual Degree (B.Tech + M.Tech) in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, showcasing his strong academic foundation.
