London, UK, May 2024 – Andreia de Melo Cabral has been appointed as the Chief People Officer at National Grid ESO. In her new role, Andreia is set to lead strategic initiatives and foster a culture of innovation and development within the organization, while also supporting planning for the Future System Operator.
Andreia brings a wealth of experience from her previous role as Chief People Officer at Bionical Emas, where she led the global business’s People Strategy from February 2022 to February 2023, directly reporting to CEO Jonathan Waring-Hughes. Her leadership focused on enhancing the organization’s human resources capabilities across the board.
Prior to her tenure at Bionical Emas, Andreia served at TFS – Clinical Contract Research Organization as the Executive Vice President, Head of Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Marketing, and Communications from January 2020 to February 2022. Here, she was a member of the Executive Committee and played a crucial role in steering the company through rapid growth and geographic expansion across 21 countries.
Andreia’s earlier positions include the role of Director of International Human Resources at TFS, where she contributed significantly to the development and implementation of the company’s HR strategies. Her skills in organizational development, employee engagement, and strategic leadership were highly valued.
Her career is further marked by a strategic tenure at PETA UK as an Interim HR Manager where she transitioned the HR function into a comprehensive HR organization from January 2018 to March 2018.
