Pune, Maharashtra, India, June 2025 — Anil Ghegade has been appointed as Managing Director of the Sandvik India Innovation Hub, where he will spearhead digital and engineering innovation initiatives for the company’s India operations. His role will focus on advancing Sandvik’s global innovation agenda from Pune, a key strategic center for the group.
Ghegade brings over 20 years of cross-functional experience in engineering, R&D leadership, global capability center operations, and post-merger integration. Prior to joining Sandvik, he served as Senior Director at Danfoss, where he led transformation initiatives involving manufacturing footprint strategy, ESG, post-acquisition integration, and operational excellence. His work significantly enhanced the company’s sustainability credentials, innovation pipeline, and talent diversity.
Before Danfoss, Anil spent two decades at Eaton, where he rose through various engineering leadership roles. His tenure covered sectors such as hydraulics, aerospace, and software, with a focus on product innovation, global team building, and lifecycle management. He also played a pivotal role in setting up and scaling engineering capabilities across Asia-Pacific.
At Sandvik, Anil’s expertise will be instrumental in driving strategic partnerships, developing future-ready engineering capabilities, and delivering technology-led value aligned with the company’s sustainability and productivity goals.
