Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, May 2025 — Anjali Kamath has been appointed as Deputy Vice President – Brand Marketing at Kotak Mahindra Bank, marking a significant milestone in her professional journey within the organization. In her new role, Anjali will lead brand strategy and innovation initiatives aimed at enhancing Kotak Mahindra Bank’s positioning in the competitive financial services landscape.

Anjali has been associated with Kotak Mahindra Bank for over three years. Prior to her new appointment, she served as Associate Vice President – Product Marketing and Brand Equity, where she played a pivotal role in spearheading multiple high-impact marketing campaigns and brand initiatives. Notably, she led the launch of Kotak’s new brand philosophy — “Hausla Hai Toh Ho Jayega,” a comprehensive campaign that significantly boosted brand metrics such as awareness, consideration, and creative recall.

Before joining Kotak Mahindra Bank, Anjali held a leadership role at Leo Burnett, where she worked as Brand Strategy Director. During her tenure, she crafted impactful campaigns for high-profile clients such as Whisper, Spotify, HDFC Life, and Viacom Colors. Her standout contribution was the globally acclaimed campaign “The Missing Chapter” for Whisper, which won several prestigious awards including the Cannes Grand Prix and Effie India Grand Effie.

Earlier in her career, Anjali worked at The Glitch, where she held multiple roles including Senior Strategist – Planning & New Business. She led digital planning efforts for brands like LinkedIn, Lakmé, Vim, and Fair and Lovely, and played a vital role in winning over 200 digital pitches. Her work with LinkedIn Indonesia and Australia, as well as UNICEF’s The Minor Project, showcased her global strategy acumen.

Anjali began her career with Citi Group Global Services and later took on planning roles at Grey Group and other leading advertising agencies. She holds a Post Graduation in Media & Communication from Deviprasad Goenka Management College of Media Studies, and an Advanced Certification in Digital Marketing from MICA | The School of Ideas.
