Lakra joins Albertsons Companies India as Vice President, Human Resources, bringing a strong blend of people leadership, culture building, and transformation experience across large, matrixed organizations. Her appointment aligns with the company’s focus on strengthening leadership, accelerating capability development, and enabling a high-performance, values-led culture.

Prior to this move, Lakra spent over a decade with IKEA India, most recently serving as Program Manager: Transformation & Culture. In this role, she led the transformation agenda in India—driving implementation of global and local initiatives aimed at building future-ready capabilities. She also focused on revitalizing culture and reinforcing a strong Code of Conduct, with emphasis on ethical leadership, inclusion, and purpose across the organization.

Earlier at IKEA India, she served as Country People & Culture Manager, where she led the country-level people strategy, and as Country Transformation Hub Manager, contributing to change execution and enterprise enablement. Across these roles, she worked at the intersection of people, culture, and business transformation to support scale and organizational maturity.

Before IKEA, Lakra was associated with Carrefour India for nearly six years, including as Division Head – Human Resources and Senior Manager Training and Development, building depth across HR leadership and capability development. Her earlier experience also includes a role at Genpact, strengthening her foundation in large-scale people operations and organizational environments.

Lakra holds an MBA in HR from XLRI Jamshedpur.
