Sundaram Clayton Limited Inaugurates New Die-Casting Facility in Thervoy Kandigai

Thervoy Kandigai, Tamil Nadu, India, March 2025 – In a momentous occasion for the Indian manufacturing sector, Sundaram Clayton Limited (SCL) inaugurated its new die-casting facility at Thervoy Kandigai (TKP), marking a significant expansion of its advanced manufacturing capabilities. The event was graced by Srikanth Padmanabhan, President of Engine Business at Cummins Inc., alongside Dr. Lakshmi Venu, Managing Director, SCL.

The inauguration of the Thervoy Kandigai facility represents a key milestone in SCL’s ongoing journey of innovation, quality, and customer-centric growth. With this addition, the company is poised to further strengthen its operations, deepen partnerships with global clients, and contribute to the growth of the automotive and industrial manufacturing ecosystem.

SCL expressed gratitude to its leadership team and dedicated workforce, whose commitment and efforts brought the ambitious project to life. The new plant is expected to play a pivotal role in enhancing SCL’s production scale, technical capability, and responsiveness to the evolving needs of its international customer base.

Sundaram Clayton Limited (SCL), a USD 2.5 billion entity and a part of the TVS Group established in 1911, is a global leader in automotive component manufacturing.
