Darmstadt, Germany/ India, June 2026 — Ankoor B. Sarkar has been appointed as Global Sales Director at ACST GmbH, marking a significant leadership milestone as the company accelerates its global expansion strategy across the rapidly evolving mm-Wave, sub-mm Wave, and Terahertz (THz) technology ecosystem.
In this role, Ankoor will spearhead worldwide sales, business development, strategic partnerships, distribution ecosystem expansion, and geo-growth initiatives across North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa. Reporting directly to the CEO, he will play a pivotal role in strengthening ACST’s global market presence and accelerating customer adoption across applications including radio astronomy, atmospheric sensing, spectroscopy, aerospace and defense systems, materials characterization, non-destructive testing (NDT), security screening, scientific instrumentation, and next-generation wireless communications.
Prior to joining ACST GmbH, Ankoor B. Sarkar served as Regional Director at Hitachi Kokusai Electric Comark LLC, where he was entrusted with leading business operations across Europe, Canada, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa. He spearheaded business development initiatives spanning more than 130 countries, driving complex revenue opportunities and strengthening market presence for high-power RF technology solutions, scientific and industrial transmitters, cloud video data solutions, and encoding systems. His leadership focused on revenue growth, ecosystem development, and profitability enhancement across multiple international markets.
Before Hitachi Kokusai Electric, Ankoor spent more than five years with OWC APAC Pte Ltd, serving as Managing Director, Executive Director – Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa, and a member of the Board of Directors. During this period, he successfully established and expanded business operations across multiple countries, built high-performing sales organizations, developed strategic partnerships, and delivered exceptional year-on-year revenue growth. His leadership was instrumental in scaling OWC’s presence across the Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa regions while driving business ecosystem development and organizational growth.
Earlier, he held senior leadership roles with Sanmina Corporation and OCZ Storage Solutions (A Toshiba Group Company). At Sanmina, he directed sales and business development operations across Asia Pacific, South and Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Russia, and CIS markets, serving industries including enterprise computing, defense, aerospace, networking, medical technology, automotive, and industrial sectors. At OCZ Storage Solutions, he successfully built the company’s South Asian business, delivering substantial revenue growth, strengthening distribution networks, and significantly expanding market share across enterprise, OEM, and retail segments.
A distinguished portion of Ankoor’s career also includes leadership positions with MapmyIndia, ViewSonic, Olivetti, and Essae-Teraoka Limited. As Vice President – Sales & Distribution at MapmyIndia, he led India business operations and pioneered alternative distribution models. At ViewSonic, he played a key role in building the company’s India operations as part of its founding team. His earlier years at Olivetti and Essae-Teraoka established a strong foundation in international business development, channel management, exports, and market expansion across India, Nepal, and Bhutan. Across more than three decades, Ankoor has consistently demonstrated expertise in building high-performance multicultural teams, managing P&L and ROCE objectives, driving profitable growth, and creating scalable global business ecosystems.
