Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, March 2025 – Airbus, a global leader in aerospace and defense, has appointed Annapurna Vishwanathan as VP Head of IM & Digital, India and South Asia. In this role, she will lead digital transformation initiatives, IT strategy, and innovation to enhance Airbus’ technology ecosystem across the region. Her expertise in enterprise IT, digital strategy, and business transformation will be instrumental in driving efficiency and technological advancements for the company.
Prior to joining Airbus, Annapurna served as CIO at Cummins India, where she led enterprise-wide IT and digital transformation strategies for four years. She played a pivotal role in enhancing IT infrastructure, integrating advanced analytics, and implementing cloud-based solutions to streamline operations and improve business performance.
Before that, she was Head of Digital at Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, leading the company’s digital innovation and automation efforts. During her tenure, she drove AI-driven supply chain optimizations, data-driven decision-making models, and process automation to enhance operational efficiency and customer engagement.
Earlier in her career, Annapurna held leadership roles at GE Digital and GE Corporate, including Senior Director – Product Software Engineering and IT Transformation Leader. She was responsible for developing enterprise software solutions, leading digital initiatives, and implementing IT governance frameworks that improved technology adoption across business units.
Her extensive experience also includes strategic IT roles at Atos and the Information Management Leadership Program (IMLP) at GE, where she honed her expertise in technology innovation, IT infrastructure, and digital strategy development. With a strong foundation in engineering and digital transformation, she is set to drive Airbus’ digital strategy forward in India and South Asia.
