Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, November 2025 — Anupama Basak has joined Hyperion Materials & Technologies, a KKR portfolio organisation, as Head of Human Resources – APAC, marking a significant leadership addition to the company’s global people strategy. In her new role, she will lead the HR charter across Asia-Pacific, focusing on talent development, organizational culture, leadership effectiveness, and building scalable people systems aligned with Hyperion’s growth ambitions in high-performance materials and advanced manufacturing.
Before joining Hyperion, Anupama served as Head of Human Resources – South Asia at Veolia | Water Tech, where she drove talent and organizational development across multiple markets, enabling transformation, capability building, and business continuity across diverse and distributed teams.
Previously, Anupama held the role of Human Resources Director at Freshworks, leading the people agenda for a 1,500+ member Technology, Engineering & Product Development organisation. In this capacity, she partnered with senior global leadership to drive strategic workforce planning, scale HR operations during high-growth phases, and strengthen leadership pipelines across a global SaaS environment.
Earlier in her career, she served as Director – HR, India at Pall Corporation (Danaher Group), where she played a central role in integrating Pall into the Danaher ecosystem following its acquisition. She led multiple strategic HR interventions including leadership development, diversity and inclusion, employee engagement, and organisational performance improvement across commercial, manufacturing, and IT operations.
Anupama also spent over five years with GE Healthcare, holding HR leadership roles for both Technology & Engineering and Commercial organisations. She led succession planning, strategic talent development, capability-building frameworks, and leadership enablement programs for high-skill engineering and scientific talent.
Her early career includes HR leadership roles at Tata Motors and EID Parry, where she developed strong foundational experience in manpower planning, employee relations, capability building, and multi-region HR leadership.
