Gurugram, Haryana, India, September 2025 — Aparna Gupta has been elevated to Vice President, Global Delivery Centre (GDC), Industry Solutions Delivery (ISD) at Microsoft, marking a significant milestone in her leadership journey with the company. In her new role, she will lead GDC as the innovation and scale delivery engine for ISD, driving complex, customized, and scalable solutions for customers worldwide. She expressed gratitude to Maureen Costello, Lyn Bird, and Mala Anand for their trust and guidance, while also acknowledging the support of her peers and leadership team in advancing Microsoft’s ambition to be an AI-first consulting organization.
Gupta has been an integral part of Microsoft for nearly eight years. Most recently, she served as Global Delivery Centre Leader, Industry Solutions, where she steered end-to-end execution models, reinforced a culture of engineering excellence, and scaled delivery across industries and markets. She also briefly held the position of Regional Delivery Leader, Asia (Interim), strengthening the organisation’s capabilities across the region.
Previously, she was Executive Director, Customer Success at Microsoft, where she led strategic customer engagements in India to ensure adoption of Microsoft’s cloud platform. Prior to that, she served as General Manager, Commercial Software Engineering (CSE), India, co-creating engineering solutions with global customers, driving adoption of Microsoft Azure, and leading initiatives in Artificial Intelligence and data ethics. She was also part of Microsoft India’s senior leadership team, contributing to technical talent development and inclusion programs.
Before joining Microsoft, Gupta held senior leadership roles including Vice President, Customer Experience at Bristlecone, and was part of the Strategy Office at Mahindra Group. She has also served as Managing Director and Vice President, Product Development at FirstRain, where she led India operations and core R&D teams. Her early career includes positions at Logiciel Information Systems, Unitech International, and Amdale Software Technologies, reflecting a strong foundation in engineering and product development.
Beyond her corporate roles, Gupta contributes to industry and academia as a Member of the Board of Directors at TIH-IoT, IIT Bombay, and has actively engaged with organisations such as NASSCOM and the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology, promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and diversity in technology.
