Singapore, November 2025 — Prudential plc has announced that Apoorva Chandra has stepped into the role of Chief, Value Creation Centre, Prudential Plc., leading the global Value Creation Centre (VCC) across multiple locations. In this newly expanded mandate, Apoorva is driving capability building across critical domains including AI, Data, Insurance Operations, Technology, Finance, HR and Risk Management, while strengthening collaboration and accelerating innovation to enhance how Prudential serves customers and stakeholders across markets and functions.
Most recently, Apoorva Chandra served as Regional CHRO, Growth Markets and CHRO, Global Technology, Operations, Agency and Health at Prudential plc, overseeing people strategy, development and well-being across 15 markets in Asia and Africa. During this tenure, Apoorva partnered closely with global functional leaders to shape and implement future-focused capability and engagement strategies for the organisation’s most critical global functions.
Before that, Apoorva held the role of CHRO Global Functions and Group Head of Learning and Talent Acquisition, also at Prudential plc, where he led the transformation of global learning, talent acquisition and group-wide people initiatives. This included overseeing enterprise leadership development, strengthening global talent systems and building alignment across the organisation’s functions and markets.
Earlier in his career, Apoorva spent more than a decade with Prudential UK, progressing through senior leadership roles such as UK HR Director (Group Head Office) & COO Prudential Africa, HR Director, Group Head Office and Head of HR, Prudential Africa, Director, Group Reward and Employee Relations, HR Director, Group Head Office, and Senior Group Resourcing and Development Consultant. Across these positions, he played a central role in shaping global HR frameworks, driving organisational development and supporting Prudential’s Africa business operations.
Apoorva began his career in consulting and HR leadership roles at Johnson & Johnson, PwC (formerly ECS Ltd.) and Willis Towers Watson (formerly Watson Wyatt), where he gained strong foundations in people systems, consulting, talent development and organisational effectiveness.
