Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, March 2026 — Primary Care Alberta has appointed Sukhi Gill as Executive Director, Human Resources. In this role, she will lead the HR function supporting Primary Care Alberta’s mandate to strengthen access to day-to-day health services across the province and improve how people experience primary care throughout every stage of life.
Sukhi brings deep public-sector and healthcare HR leadership experience across Alberta, with a career spanning HR business partnerships, organizational development, workforce operations, and employee engagement in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
Prior to joining Primary Care Alberta, Sukhi spent nearly seven years with Alberta Health Services, where she held progressive HR leadership roles. Most recently, she served as HRBP Director, Corporate and Provincial Programs, partnering with senior leaders to enable workforce strategy, HR governance, and people programs across corporate and provincial portfolios. Earlier, she was Program Director, HR Business Partnerships, supporting HRBP program leadership and delivery across the Greater Edmonton area.
Before Alberta Health Services, she served as Portfolio Director at the Government of Alberta – Public Service Commission, supporting portfolio-level HR leadership and people program priorities.
Earlier, she worked with the Ministry of Labour – Government of Alberta as Human Resources Manager, leading HR operations and employee engagement priorities. Prior to that, she served as Human Resources Operations Manager at Environment and Sustainable Resource Development – Government of Alberta, strengthening experience across HR service delivery and workforce operations.
Sukhi also spent time with Alberta Justice and Solicitor General in multiple roles, including Team Lead, Human Resource Services, Organizational Development and Effectiveness Consultant, and Human Resource Consultant, building a strong foundation in HR service delivery, organizational effectiveness, and employee engagement.
Earlier in her career, she worked as Human Resource Coordinator at Quebecor World, and also held customer-facing roles with TD Bank Financial Group – Branches and EvelineCharles Salons | Spas | Beauty MD, building early experience in service, relationship management, and stakeholder support.
