Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, February 2025 – Arijit Choudhury has been elevated to Chief Commercial Head Respiratory at Cipla, where he will lead the company’s flagship respiratory business, focusing on disease awareness, early detection, treatment innovation, and digital therapeutics. His leadership will be instrumental in advancing new devices, diagnostics, and drug therapy solutions to enhance respiratory disease management in India.
Arijit has been with Cipla for nearly four years, previously serving as Chief Commercial Head Urology & CNS, where he drove business growth, market expansion, and commercial strategy across these critical therapeutic segments. His expertise in business strategy, competitive analysis, and pharmaceutical marketing has been pivotal in strengthening Cipla’s leadership in these markets.

Before joining Cipla, Arijit spent over eight years at IQVIA, holding multiple leadership roles, including Senior Director, Life Science, Consumer Health & Global Key Account, where he led commercial operations across South Asia and managed global accounts for major pharmaceutical companies. His tenure at IQVIA also included leading global key account management and overseeing commercial operations in India.
Earlier in his career, Arijit spent nearly 12 years at Ranbaxy, serving in various capacities such as SBU Head Dermatology & Cosmetology, Marketing Manager Urology, and Brand Manager Internal Medicine. He played a crucial role in brand strategy, market expansion, and commercial execution across multiple therapeutic areas. His extensive experience in sales, marketing, and commercial operations also includes leadership roles at Alembic Pharmaceuticals and Hoechst Marion Roussel (now Sanofi).
