Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, October 2024 – Arijit Sengupta has taken on the role of Chief Marketing Officer at Zydus Wellness, bringing over two decades of marketing leadership experience in global companies. In his new position, Arijit will oversee all marketing strategies and initiatives for the company’s portfolio, driving innovation and expansion in India and internationally.
Arijit joins Zydus Wellness from Reckitt, where he spent over ten years in key marketing leadership roles. Most recently, as Global Marketing Head of Reckitt’s digital startup, Upspring, Arijit successfully scaled the business 30x, expanded into 22 countries, and drove the startup to profitability within its first year.
Before that, Arijit served as CMO of Indonesia at Reckitt, where he led marketing efforts for the high-priority Indonesian market. His achievements include transforming the business into the fastest-growing market in the region and driving digital and e-commerce growth from 1% to 35% contribution.
Prior to Reckitt, Arijit was the Senior Marketing Director for Asia at Mead Johnson Nutrition, where he led the marketing of Enfagrow across Asia, implementing omni-channel marketing strategies and driving the largest innovation in 12 years for the brand.
Earlier in his career, Arijit held multiple senior marketing roles at Unilever, where he spearheaded the launch of Lifebuoy into 13 new markets globally and drove category development for fabric care across South East Asia.
